Mobile outpatient physical therapy involves healthcare professionals providing physical therapy services outside of a traditional clinic setting. Instead of patients commuting to a clinic, therapists visit patients in their homes or in assisted living/independent living facilities. A personalized one-on-one session lasting 60-70 minutes is conducted in the client's home by a state licensed PT or PTA.
Convenience: Receive therapy in the comfort of your own home, eliminating the need for travel and making it more accessible.
Personalized Care: Therapists can assess your living environment and tailor exercises to your specific needs and daily challenges.
Time Savings: Avoid the time and effort associated with commuting to a clinic, making therapy more accessible for those with busy schedules.
Individualized Attention: With one-on-one sessions in a familiar setting, therapists can focus on your unique goals and provide personalized attention.
Comfort: Being in a familiar environment can promote relaxation and potentially enhance the therapeutic process.
Flexibility: Mobile outpatient physical therapy often offers more flexibility in scheduling, including morning and evening appointments. In special cases a weekend visit may be scheduled if staff availability permits.
Physical therapy can be beneficial for a variety of conditions and situations. Here are some ways in which physical therapy may benefit you:
Pain Relief: Physical therapists can use techniques such as manual therapy, exercises, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve overall comfort.
Improved Mobility: Physical therapy can help enhance your range of motion and flexibility, making it easier for you to move and perform daily activities.
Recovery from Injury: If you've had an injury or surgery, physical therapy can aid in the recovery process, promoting healing and restoring function.
Prevention of Future Injuries: Therapists can provide exercises and strategies to strengthen muscles and improve posture, reducing the risk of future injuries.
Management of Chronic Conditions: For chronic conditions like arthritis or neurological disorders, physical therapy can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
Enhanced Balance and Coordination: Physical therapy exercises can focus on improving balance and coordination, reducing the risk of falls, especially in older adults.

TheraMove is credentialed with traditional Medicare/Medicaid Part B in Colorado. We also accept qualifying Medicare Advantage plans, along with private pay options for individuals without insurance coverage. TheraMove will check eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid plans and request specific insurance details such as patient deductibles, copay, and coinsurance. TheraMove and the patient will collaborate to determine the start of services after discussing insurance details. We will submit your claims to the medical insurance plan(s) you have provided information for and are currently enrolled in. You will receive a bill for any remaining balances after the insurance company processes your claim. Copays are required at the time of service. As a courtesy, we aim to verify your insurance coverage and benefits before your first visit.
When a patient is a traditional Medicare part B recipient, TheraMove will bill Medicare part B as primary. Traditional Medicare part B covers 80% of services provided in the home. The remainder 20% of services may be covered by the patient's secondary insurance (supplemental insurance) such as Tricare, BCBS, United Healthcare, etc. If the patient does not have a secondary insurance (supplemental insurance) to cover the remainder 20%, it will be the patient's responsibility to cover remainder 20%. On average this ranges between $20-$30 per 60-70 minute session.
All Medicare Advantage plans are different and TheraMove will check eligibility for all patients to determine if the insurance plan offers out of network benefits. Since Medicare Advantage plans vary widely, TheraMove will assess eligibility for each patient to ascertain whether their insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits. This approach ensures transparency and enables patients to make informed decisions regarding potential out-of-network benefits applicable to their therapy at TheraMove.
We welcome various payment options, such as cash, check, credit cards, debit cards, Health Savings Account (HSA), and Flexible Spending Account (FSA). This ensures convenience and accessibility for our patients.
We offer private pay options for uninsured patients seeking services to achieve their health goals. Patients are encouraged to participate in wellness programs after completing insurance-paid services to maintain and further enhance their progress toward optimal outcomes.

For our new patients, anticipate dedicating 60-90 minutes for your initial evaluation visit. The extended time allows your physical therapist enough time to conduct a comprehensive evaluation, and ensure that TheraMove can deliver optimal care to get you back to engaging in the activities you cherish the most. Subsequent sessions will be 60-70 minutes long, ensuring every patient receives personalized one-on-one care with their physical therapist in their home.
Physical therapists undergo extensive undergraduate and graduate level training in various medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, kinesiology (study of joint movement), and orthopedics. Our therapists have graduated from accredited physical therapy programs and hold state licenses. TheraMove staffs both state licensed physical therapists (PTs) and physical therapist assistants (PTAs).
Physical therapists supervise the competent care provided by physical therapist assistants, collaborating to treat and assist all patients in achieving their objectives. During treatment, a PT conducts the initial evaluation, after which a PTA treats the patient based on the established plan of care (POC) developed by the evaluating PT. TheraMove's therapist work as a team to provide the highest quality of care for all patients.
Physical therapy (PT) programs in the United States transitioned to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree as the standard entry-level degree. This transition occurred over the years, with many programs completing the shift by the early 2000s.
